Tenant – Permitted payments

A holding deposit (up to 1 week’s rent)

A tenancy deposit of one month’s rent

A payment of up to £50inc VAT to alter the tenancy agreement, when requested by a tenant, or reasonable costs incurred if higher

Interest at a rate of 3% above the Bank of England’s base rate, for late payment of rent (which is more than 14 days overdue)

A payment for the replacement of a lost key or security device

Payments associated with early termination of the tenancy when requested by the tenant

Payments to service providers in respect of utilities, communication services, TV licence and council tax

Other payments, permitted under appropriate legislation, including damages.

Tenants Information

Our Lettings Department will work with you to find suitable rental accommodation and accompany you on viewings to many of our managed properties. We are usually able to offer a selection of both furnished and unfurnished properties throughout the Havering area and often other locations into Essex.

Many of our clients properties are let to waiting tenants before they appear on the websites and we are happy to call you with our latest instructions.

Our tenancy agreements (Assured Shorthold Tenancy Agreements) often start for a minimum period six months and are renewable subject to the Landlords agreement.

Our Romford Branch at 60 Victoria Road, Romford RM1 2JH, is a registered member of the Association of Residential Agents (ARLA), National Approved Lettings Scheme (NALS) and the Tenancy Deposit Scheme (TDS). We are therefore authorised to safely hold tenants deposits during the period of tenancy.

All tenants must be credit checked prior to acceptance by our Landlords.
